On the 21st July 2020, the Federal Government announced JobKeeper 2.0.
The current JobKeeper (1.0) program will continue as is until the 27th September 2020.
From 28th September 2020, the JobKeeper payment will be reduced to $1,200 per fortnight for employees who were working 20+ hours per week on average during February 2020, and $750 per fortnight for employees who were working less than 20 hours a week during February 2020.
From 4 January 2021, the JobKeeper payment will decrease to $1,000 per fortnight for those employees working 20+ hours per week and $650 per fortnight for employees working less than 20 hours a week during the February 2020 reference period.
To continue to be eligible for JobKeeper 2.0 payments, employers will have to retest, with some changes to eligibility requirements being introduced.
